The passion of the Cuban people is evident everywhere you go: in the people you meet, their dress, their music and especially their artwork. There are many galleries and lots of street artists as well. One of the most interesting places to see the art, meet the people and enjoy a lovely morning or afternoon in Havana is the Paseo del Prada.
And when you find that perfect painting, and the artist rolls it up for 
you to carry home – just remember – if you are carrying it in your hand when checking in at the airport – the Cuban authorities will charge you three pesos to put a little sticker on the back of the painting. Just one more way to get another dollar from you. : )
