As owner of Paradise Yacht Charters, my primary focus is providing private yachts for charter in Cuba.  The advantage of being on a yacht is that you are ensured first rate accommodations, exquisite cuisine, all the amenities of home and transportation to various parts around the island.

HOWEVER, I would rather FLY to the island and meet my yacht there.  Cuba is a huge country that according to Wikipedia has 3,570 nautical miles of coastline.  Why waste two days of travel just getting there and coming back from South Florida.  Especially since there are now direct flights to many airports in Cuba by well known airlines such as American, Delta and Jet Blue.

map-with-portsFly into Havana or Veradero, (I chose to fly into Varadero on AA from MIA)  then join your yacht and cruise around the western coastline.  On a two week charter you could easily reach Cienfuegos on the Southern Central Shore and have lots of time to explore western Cuba enroute.  (The specifics of where to go and what to see will be posted over the next few weeks as my journey takes me to these destinations)  My plans are to depart from Cienfuegos on the AA flight to Miami.

Stay tuned – much more to follow
