Take your meds for Cuba
Be sure to take your medications with you! And it is always wise to carry them with you in your carry-on bag. It will be difficult if not impossible to replace them once you are in Cuba.
There isn’t a Walgreens on every corner in Cuba!!!
In addition to regular prescriptions, be sure to carry aspirin, Neosporin, Benadryl, Imodium, Band-aids, penicillin or similar and other things that you think could be useful on your trip. Because it is NOT available in Cuba.
If you’re traveling aboard one of our private yacht charters, most of those miscellanous items will be on the yacht.
Don’t forget your shots
Prior to making the trip it is a also a good idea to make sure your shots are up to date. A tetanus shot, a flu shot, a DT (diphtheria and typhoid) shot and at least Hepatitis A and if possible Hepatitis B. It is recommended that you do this at least two weeks prior to your trip as vaccines need some time to become effective.
Safe travels.
