Summer vacations
We are beginning to see light at the end of the tunnel. Restrictions on going outside our homes are slowly being eased and people are optimistic that they may still be able to have a summer vacation. But where to go? . Most international borders are still closed to visitors and some are announcing openings as late as September. Unless you are planning on a very late summer holiday, and even that is questionable, you should probably look at destinations that are in the country where you live, or at least a neighboring country. For Americans that means US destinations including US Virgin Islands (Not the BVI’s as they are not accepting tourists until possibly September), Canada and possibly Mexico. So stop looking overseas and look right in your backyard at the fabulous places you can visit.
Yachting is one of the SAFEST holidays.
The next question is where do you stay. A private yacht is by far the safest choice.
- Access to the yacht is restricted solely to you and your guests
- Your outstanding crew is fully tested and has been in quarantine on the yacht
- Private yachts have sanitation measures that far exceed any hotel.
- The yacht provides accommodation, exceptional cuisine in a variety of both indoor and outdoor settings, transportation between stops on your itinerary and an array of water toys (reserved exclusively for your use)
Think about it. Yachts never allow shoes which means no germs from the street are begin carried inside. there are no other guests. There are no elevators or hallways filled with strangers. No outsiders have touched the handrails, or the glassware, or the doorknobs.

Want to go hiking? Not a problem, consider the area around Vancouver, Canada. Beautiful snow-capped mountains are the backdrop for great hiking trails like those found at Salt Spring Island’s Ganges Harbour.
Prefer beautiful gardens? Then you won’t want to miss the breathtaking Butchart Gardens in Victoria
Would enjoy visiting a castle? Then explore the Great Lakes on a yacht like The Big Eagle.
