Today, more than ever, the Seychelles offer a refreshing, new cruising horizon for yachts and a reassuring world of safety, diversity and purity that is a far cry from overcrowded and over-commercialized destinations found elsewhere.  This seven day yacht charter itinerary begins in Eden Island Marina located on Mahe, the main island in the archipelago of 115 islands off the east coast of Africa known as the Seychelles.  Mahe is home of the International Airport. This is a year around destination with temperatures usually hovering between 24 and 32 degrees Celcius. (75 degrees to 90 degrees Fahrenheit) although November through March can be a little hotter and more humid and the beaches tend to be filled with seaweed.

With a dominant British history, the Seychelles is mostly a christian nation with Roman Catholics comprising 82% of the population and Anglicans making up 6%.

French, English and Creole are the three official languages of the Seychelles islands as it was ruled by both British and the French. The Seychellois speak English fluently and are comfortable conversing in it. The Seychellois Creole is phonetically similar to French, use [Bonjour] for Hello or Good Morning, [Seel Voo Play] for Please (form French S’il vous plait) and [Mair See] for Thank you.

Snorkeling and diving are popular activities while cruising on your luxury yacht because of the crystal clear south Pacific waters and diverse marine life.

One of the best spots for snorkeling is Anse Lazio, Preslin Island which is on Day 5 of the itinerary below. Another great spot for underwater activities is Anse Source D’Argent, La Digue Island which is on Day 6 of the luxury yacht charter itinerary.  This quiet neighborhood has literally stood till and you will find ox-carts and bicycles as the primary mode of transportation.  You can expect to see sulphur damsels, morish idols, threadfin butterfly fish and convict surgeon fish while snorkeling in this area.  There isn’t as much coral as you would find in Preslin, but the waters are shallow and calm because of the protective reef making it a perfect location for your yacht.
