WESTERN ITALY ITINERARY FROM CAPRI TO MONACO

In addition to the charming towns and outdoor cafes that fill the cruising itinerary from Amalfi and Capri up to Monaco, you will encounter some of the best shopping, the best vineyards and the most exquisite perfumeries in the world.  In the next few days you will drink lemoncello in Capri, visit the islands of Ponza and Ischia, enjoy the incredible shopping in Forte dei Marmi, be amazed at the colorful  towns of Cinque-Terre and be dazzeld by the glamour of Monaco before heading back home.  

You will join your luxurious yacht, in this case the Motor Yacht Uriamir (although there are many exquisite yachts from which to choose,)  in Naples which has a large international airport for easy access to the yacht.  After boarding your yacht, you will head to Isola di Ischia where you can visit the Castello Aragones d’Ischia and explore the macabre collection of torutre instruments includg “The Head Crusher” the “Eye Spoons” and the Testicle Squashing Trestle”.  Ugh –  gives me chills just reading their names.  Once you leave the castle, Ischia is a beautiful island with fabulous gardens, churches,  the Pilastri Aqueduct which is still standing strong, interesting museums, thermal spas and more.  A varied and interesting stop to begin what will be a fabulous mediterranean cruise.

From Ischia you will head to the famous Isle of Capri known for it’s incredible shopping!  Bring the black card – you’ll need it here!  And of course we will arrange for you to be picked up in the port in one of the colorful  convertibles and you much go to lunch at one of my favorite restaurants, Restaurant da Paolino where you dine in a garden filled with  lemon trees.

 From Capri you will go to Amalfi, one of the most beautiful places in the world. Just look at the photo above that I took while I was there visiting.    

PONZA, ELBA, FORTE DEI MARMI, PORTOFINO, MONACO

From Amalfi we head up the Italian coastline with stops along the way in Ponza to experience life away from all the tourists of Rome and other major cities.  Here you will enjoy a small island, with small towns, fishermen and good food.  Additional stops will be made in the delightful Tuscan seaside town Porto Ercole,  the home of Napoleon Bonaparte when he was exiled in the early 1800’s, a stop in Forte dei Marmi (I hope you still have your black card), the lovely town or Porto Venere which many prefer to Cinque Terre, a stop in Portofino, Cinque Terre if you like and the grand finale – MONACO!!

THE YACHT
